Cryogenic System Engineering & Safety- Van Sciver (Recordings)

System engineering & safety (31 min): This module pertains to safety in cryogenic system design and operation.  The first section reviews safety issues in cryogenic vessel design including catastrophic events such as loss of vacuum. The second section discusses specific safety issues associated with liquid hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen systems.  Examples of how to manage cryogenic safety in various situations is presented.
