Low temperature instrumentation (64 min): This module covers three main subject areas. The first is temperature measurement and covers the various sensors used in cryogenic systems.  These include active sensors like thermocouples and passive sensors such as resistance thermometers and diodes.  The section also discusses best practices in utilizing different types of sensors. The second area is pressure measurement and covers different transducers that are suitable for cryogenic applications.  Application to cryogenic flow metering is included.  The final section discusses liquid cryogen mass measurement including level metering and mass gauging.
